Events &Donor Relationship Officer

The Australian Refugee Association (ARA) is a community based organization that has been providing settlement services to the refugee community for over 35 years.

 

An opportunity has become available for a person with a strong fundraising background to join the Fundraising Team to actively promote ARA services whilst raising revenue to support ARA’s range of settlement services.

 

The Events and Donor Relationship Office will work closely with the CEO to

  • Develop, implement and coordinate a range of fundraising events and activities
  • Foster closer relationships with ARA’s current donors, members and supporters
  • Recruit and manage a team of volunteers to assist with ARA’s fundraising and public awareness program
  • Coordinate quarterly Appeals and Newsletters
  • Develop and manage relationships with the corporate and community sector

Experience working in a similar role in a community based organization is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organised, showing drive and initiative to secure outstanding results.

The position is full time (38 hours per week) to be worked over five days. There will be out of hours work dependent on fundraising events and activities.
