The project, developed in 2008, brought together 4 schools , 2 with a monoculture population and 2 with a higher level of students from a refugee background. Through dialogue and shared activities the program helped to break down barriers and increased understanding between both groups. On Harmony Day the students met each other, played games, watched a performance and ate Afghan and Sudanese food. The Lieutenant-Governor and the Minister Assisting the Minister for Multicultural Affairs launched the project.Cultural Competency WorkshopsARA provides Cultural Competency Training Sessions to services and organisations.
