ARA Employment delivers a range of employment and training related services to refugees and migrants. Some of these services include, but are not limited to the following:
- Job Search Assistance & Job Placement
Marketing and Employment brokerage
Facilitating job interviews
Supporting clients in their individual attempts to secure employment - Resume Assistance
Assisting clients to develop their own resumes
Identify marketable and transferable employment skills
Updating and reviewing client resumes when required - Interview Preparation
Assisting clients understand the requirements for job interviews
Organising and facilitating interviews with prospective employers
Training
Organising Pre-vocational training in a range of areas.
Metal Work & Workshop skills
Welding training
Building & construction training (youth only)
Cleaning / Manual Handling and First Aid (women only)
Providing one-of training sessions about Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare awareness
Providing referrals to a diverse range of external training programs
Supporting clients with a range of employment related issues such as employer / employee rights and responsibilities, tax, superannuation and so on.
Providing assistance with cross cultural communication
In addition to our services for refugees and migrants, we also help employers by:
Providing appropriate staff
Delivering formal and informal Cultural Awareness training
Offering post placement support and mediation where required
